She was predeceased by: her parents, Royal Ford and Annie Scruggs Ford of Lynchburg, VA.; her husband Morris F. Deas Jr.; her granddaughter Tanyae S. Deas; and her siblings, Pauline Ford, Roy Ford Scruggs, Maurice Ford, Paul Ford and Daniel Ford.

She is survived by: her sons, Morris F. Deas III (Renee) of Lynchburg and Marcus A. Deas of Lynchburg; her grandchildren, Marquita D. Deas of Hampton, VA and Cortez O. Hamlett of Lynchburg; her great grandchild Maylayah M. Hurst of Hampton, VA; and her sisters, Josephine Ford Williams of Richmond, VA and Elizabeth Ford of Lynchburg, VA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
