She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Powell Garland Dillard, Jr.; her parents, Meryl Corlett and Aimee Browning Corlett; her daughters, Celia Potekhen of Lynchburg, Dorie Smiley (Knight) of Lynchburg, Corlett Keefer (Scott) of Lynchburg and Ann Ackley (Rob) of Sunset; her grandchildren, Will Culpepper (Cristy), Joseph Nelson (Meg), Garland Nelson, Emily Vanzant (Court), Robert Ackley (Tina), Molly Miller (Peter), Ann Browning McCarty (John), Nancy Cook (William), Tyler Keefer and Harris Lane (David); her stepgrandchildren, Langdon Zimmer (Tommy), Will Smiley and Kristen Potekhen; her sisters, Beverly Allen, Roberta Sugden, Marilyn Corlett Sullivan and Virginia Corlett; her friends, Hannah Sandidge and Matilda Bowles; Pamela Church, Anne Audain, Poppy Bilbra-Jacobs and Jeanna Chapman. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews, fifteen great-grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren.
