She was predeceased by: her parents, Grant Hall and Fannie Dickerson Hall; her husband Joh B. Payne; her daughter-in-law Gladys Jennifer Payne; and her granddaughter Najmah.
She is survived by: her children, John (Helen), Cecil and Betty; her grandchildren, Deen, Samirah, Latoya and Latasha; and her great grandchild Frances Hall. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
