He is survived by: his wife Wendy Rutledge Cassidy; his sons, Jacob Michael Cassidy, Zachary Wayne Cassidy and Matthew Garrett Cassidy; and his sisters, Carole Cassidy Cross and Susan Lynn Maddox (Dale Maddox). He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Timberlake Christian Church or to any local baseball program—Mike held a special place in his heart for youth baseball and the programs of the University of Lynchburg baseball team.
