He is survived by: his children, Christy Davis (David), Katrina Morris (Scott) and Colby Compton (Denver); his grandchildren, Sydney Engel (Isaiah), Gabriel Morris, Abigail Morris, Avery Morris, Bryn Compton and Blakely Compton; his great grandchild Dawson Engel; his brother Jimmy; Molly Shields, JoAnn Austin (Buster) and Elsie Harvey.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Whitten Timberlake Chapel (7404 Timberlake Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
