She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaah H. Houston and Catherine L. Houston; her husband Malcom Scott; and her siblings, Isaah "Henry" Houston, Jr. (Flossie), Johnnie Houston (Joyce) and Ethel Roakes (Carol). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
