He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara Nicholson Sherman; his parents, Pat Sherman and Mae Sherman; his children, Patrick Jared Sherman, Jr. and Mishal Sherman Heckman; and his foster daughter Tara. He was also cherished by grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his dear sister.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory-Lynchburg (220 Breezewood Dr, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Thomas Road Baptist Church (1 Mountain View Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502).
