It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Strickland Brown of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband David Lewis Brown; and her parents, Homer Earl Strickland and Josephine Moses Strickland. She is survived by: her children, Diane Brumfield (late Larry) of Chatham, Christopher "Chris" D. Brown (Tona) of Lynchburg and Anthony "Tony" L. Brown (Shannon) of St. George; and her grandchildren, Chelsea Thompson, Cameron Judd (Stephen), Brittany Jenkins (Chris), Katelyn Chewning (Gregg), Joshua Brown (Alisha), Riley Brown, Avery Brown and Patrick Brown. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
