He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Salmon (Maddox); and his brothers, E. Austin Salmon, Jr. and Paul B. Salmon. He is survived by: his daughters, Beth Metcalf (Greg) and LeeAnn DiMartino; and his grandsons, Neal, Ross Metcalf and Zach DiMartino. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
