He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Walker Thornhill and Elsie Alcock Thornhill; and his son Walker Clay Thornhill. He is survived by: his children, Tanya Odell, Richard Allen Thornhill, Jr. and Aubrey Wayne Thornhill; his sister Virginia Thornhill Shelton; and his pet Tom. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
