He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Edward Clarke and Myrtie Edith Berry Clarke of Morganton. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Burleson Clarke; his sister Philecta Clarke Staton; his daughters, Clarissa Clarke Frayser (Jay Frayser), Adair Clarke (Harry Faulkner), Elise Clarke Jones (Ken Jones) and Kirsten Clarke Tiller (Bryan Tiller); his grandchildren, Erica Adair Feldenzer, Emile Feldenzer, Chase Robert Jones, Anne-Elaine Tiller, Maris Catherine Tiller and Finn Clarke Tiller; his grandchildren-in-law, Deirdre Staton and Kim Fridinger; and his granddaughter Hope Staton.
