Robert Farpella Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Farpella Sr. (Lynchburg, Virginia), who passed away on September 19, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Farpella and Mary Hampton Farpella; and his daughter Becky. He is survived by: his wife Lois; his children, Robert Jr., Curtis, Ronald, Tammy and Rhonda; the mother of his children Louise Crabtree; and his stepchildren, Dawn, Dorothy and Wayne. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Once in Virginia they settled in and became fixtures in the community – attending Oasis Church; lunching with their friends at Dogwood Café; as members of the Clifford Ruritan Club, where Bob especially enjoyed serving as an "ambassador" for the yearly Sorghum Festival; and, before COVID, joining friends for senior lunches at the Madison Heights Community Center and at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
