It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert James Phipps in Lynchburg, Virginia, born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on October 31, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Phipps and Louise Phipps; his wife Gail Elizabeth Phipps; his daughters, Elizabeth Coppa (Joe) of Montpelier, VA, Tracy Leigh Trinidad of Huddleston, VA, Kelly Ilaine Phipps (Lauren Sanders) of Washington, DC and Carla Langjahr of Arlington, VA; and his grandsons, Augustus "Gus" Coppa, Antonio Jack Trinidad (AJ) and Walker Trinidad.
