He was predeceased by: his parents, Nancy Layne Crank and Robert William Crank Sr.; his sister Virginia Gentry; and his brother-in-law Richard Poltar. He is survived by: his daughter Catie Crank of Lynchburg; his sister Susan Poltar of Lynchburg; his granddaughter Caylee Mae Craft of Lynchburg; his brother-in-law Doug Gentry; and his close friend Linda Bowden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
