She was predeceased by: her parents, Ashby Bolling Jones and Elsie Elliott Jones; her husband A. Leroy Cheatham; her children, Anthony "Tony" Cheatham and Rhonda Nadine Austin (Steve); and her siblings, Kenneth Jones, Frederick Jones, Warren Jones, Anita Dyke and Rita Brown.

She is survived by: her children, Elvis Cheatham of Richmond, VA, Gerald Cheatham of Lynchburg, VA and Sherry Cheatham of Lynchburg, VA.; her sister Pearlene Hamler of Richmond, VA.; her grandchildren, Rhonette Cheatham (Rob Robertson) of Richmond, VA, Khalilah Foskey (Keith) of Moseley, VA and Larry Jones (Erin) of Goodview, VA.; her great grandchildren, Janiah Foskey, Peyton Foskey of Kahliel, Kayvon Foskey of Moseley, VA, Reid Jones of Goodview, VA and Kaelyn Robertson of Richmond, VA.; and her brother Winston R. Jones.

Although Rosa battled Parkinson's Disease, she never allowed it to dim her light and love of life.
