He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Roy Alfred and Adlee Carter Wood; his wife Enola Gay; his brothers, James and Wayne; and his mother-in-law Delores Haythe.
He is survived by: his siblings, Norma Wilson (Samuel) of Forestville, MD, B. Charles Wood (Nelzena) of Madison Heights, VA and Shelby Penn (Samuel Sr.) of Madison Heights, VA; his aunt Clara C. Parker of Lynchburg, VA; his sisters-in-law, Ethel Wood of Madison Heights, VA, Myra Wood of Madison Heights, VA and Frances Mitchell of Madison Heights, VA; and his cousins, Alton Slaughter of Indianapolis, IN and Rodney Liggon of Madison Heights, VA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
