With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rueben McCoy (Lynchburg, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse McCoy and John McCoy (Wilhelmina McCoy); and his siblings, Joseph McCoy, Milton McCoy, Raymond McCoy, Edward McCoy Sr., Mable McCoy, Martha Jennings, Viola Ferguson and Elizabeth Jones.
He is survived by: his daughter Vanessa Ann McCoy; his sibling's children, Edward McCoy Jr., Leon Jennings, Reginald Lewis, Keith Ferguson, Augustus McCoy, Daisy McCoy and Diane McCoy; and his sister-in-law Ora McCoy.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the McCoy Family Cemetery.
