He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Miear; his sons, Chris Layne (Tina) and Daniel Miear (Erica); his grandchildren, Alyssa Baber (Jon), Sadie Layne, Khloe Miear, Silas Layne and Hannah Miear; his sister Deborah "Debbie" Dawson (Gordon); and his mother-in-law Joan Stump.
