He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert H. Waugh and Olive P. Waugh; his wife Betty Spence Waugh of Alzheimer's Disease; and his siblings, Bob Waugh and Anne Winder.

He is survived by : his daughter Dianne Hewitt (Bill) of Lynchburg; and his great grandchildren, Hayden and Kinsley Taylor.
