She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Harvey Carter and Minnie Hodges Carter; her daughter Tammy Flippin-Ortiz (Osvaldo); her siblings, Louise Powell (Horace), Violet Satterfield and Jimmy Carter (Shirley); her close friends, Carol Ann Hammond and Doris Brown; her son Robert Edward Flippin; and her sisters, Janice Fears and Joyce Martin (Elaine).
