We announce the death of Sarah Davis Taylor of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on June 27, 2026, at the age of 86. Sarah Davis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. "Jack" Davis, Sr. and Anne O'Brien Davis; her siblings, J. C. Davis, Shirley D. Morris and Nancy D. Godsey; her niece Cindy Smith; and her nephew David Godsey.
She is survived by: her husband Earl Stuart Taylor; her children, Elizabeth "Beth" T. Coleman (Bill) of Boydton and Earl S. "Chuck" Taylor II (Bonnie) of Madison Heights; her grandchildren, Macon Coleman of Daleville, Brandon Coleman (Alex) of Boydton, Cody Taylor of Madison Heights and Robin Taylor of Madison Heights; her sister Carolyn D. Smith (Sonny) of Appomattox; her brother-in-law Robert O. "Bob" Godsey of Rustburg; her nieces and nephews, Pam Paulette (Gus), Brenda C. Martin and J. T. Carter (Angie); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Claire Paulette, Lauren Benito (Eric), Afton Jamerson, Gabriella Carter and Devon Godsey; and her pet Heidi.
