She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Fisher Nash and Christina Lee Nash; her daughter Julie G. Mello; and her brother Clyde Nash. She is survived by: her daughter Tonya Peters (Donald) of Amherst; the father of her child Gene Gryder; her grandchildren, Melissa Carver (Lyle), Michael Viar (Brittany Ennis), John Mello (Andie) and Jennifer Mello-Minder (Wesley Minder); her great grandchildren, Charleigh Carver, Hadley Viar and Waylon Mello; and her stepgreat-grandson Oliver Barber.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Centenary United Methodist Church Cemetery (295 Rolling Hill Rd, Pamplin, VA 23958).
