Stanley leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Stanley’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Stanley will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Towler Tate; his parents, Frank Tate and Elnora Tate; his sister Donna Sue Dangerfield; and his son Wesley Richards.
He is survived by: his children, Chrissy Boling (Joe) and Jason Tate; and his daughter-in-law Cindy Richards. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Lotz Roanoke Chapel (1001 Franklin Rd SW, Roanoke, VA 24016).
