It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stuart Dove Markham of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Markham and Grace Markham; and his siblings, Arnold Markham, Isabella Fromm, Allen Markham, Dillard Markham, Dorothy Garret, Hayden Markham, Arthur Markham, Audrey Saunders and Mildred Doss.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ulla Hess Booth and Kirsten Markham Coleman (Richard Coleman). He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many cousins.
