He is survived by: his mother Joyce Anne Candler (Grubbs); his sister Amy Woody (Steven) of Forest; his nephews, Devin Grubbs, Ryan Grubbs of Lynchburg and Nicholas Woody of Forest; his close friends, Kenneth and Shannon Layne of Bedford; Lenwood Mohler of Elon.
