She was predeceased by: her parents, William Walter Doss and Edna Kidd Doss; her siblings, Otis Doss, Charles Doss, Larion Doss, Howard Doss, Ruby Ogden, Rhoda Doss and Pauline Doss (Lester Brooks); her sons, Larion Lewis and Lester Wayne Brooks; and her granddaughter Wendi Brooks Daniel.
She is survived by: her children, William F. Brooks (Sharon Cash) and Cynthia Orkin (Harry); her grandson William A. Brooks (Nancy); her great grandchildren, Crystal Parsons and Vincent Brooks; her great great grandchild Seaona Jett; her pets, Miss Marple, Sherlock, Poirot and Dudley; and her caregiver Kasey Cash. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Fort Hill Memorial Park (5196 Fort Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24502).
