He is survived by: his children, Kevin Poindexter (Ashley) of Lynchburg, Virginia and Kelly Ray of Stephens City, Virginia; his grandchildren, Xavier, Maddox Ray, Brayden and Keeley Poindexter; and his close friend Dan Schweitzer (Jo).
