It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Kent Reid of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Bernice Shields Reid. He is survived by: his father Gordon Thomas Reid; his wife Brenda Joy Hall Reid; his daughter Amanda Reid Godsey (Stephen); his grandchildren, Ashton Godsey Phillips (Neal), Adam Godsey (Wednesday Hertzberg) and Amelia Godsey; his great grandchild Hudson Reid Phillips; and his siblings, R. Michael Reid (Sylvia), Tommy Reid and Sheila R. Giles (Roger).
