He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Grant Holmes and Georgia Leona Widener Holmes. He is survived by: his wife Melody Holmes; his daughters, Tabitha Troxell (Isaac) and Stephanie Hansen (Robert); his grandchildren, Tyler Robinson, Trent Cote and Padme Hansen; and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Holmes, Dennis Holmes (Theresa), Sandy "Sis" Martin (Don) and Steve Holmes (Iris Anne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
