She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Matthews Shrieves and Tully Fletcher Shrieves; her husband William Thomas Hastings, Jr.; her brothers, George and John William (Billy); and her sister-in-law Joyce Doty Shrieves.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Jo Turner (Tyson) of Sennett, NY and William Thomas Hastings, III (Donna) of Johnsontown; her grandchildren, Mary Tyson Turner Danylec (Matt) of Wilmington, NC, Joseph Turner (Maria) of Mechanicsville, Emily Turner of Sennett, NY, Patrick Turner (Sarah Meg) of Owasco, NY, William Thomas Hastings, IV (Daryl) of Johnsontown and Christopher Hastings of Alabama; her great grandchildren, Maxwell, Mercer, Liam, Evie, Segan, Brinley, Collins, Magnolia and Thomas; and her sister-in-law Harriett Shrieves. She is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Johnson's United Methodist Church (11175 Bayside Rd, Machipongo, VA 23405).
