He is survived by: his wife Annette Buraker Gilbert; his children, Kimberly Michelle Gilbert and Jonathan Michael Gilbert (Keneisha Turner); his grandchildren, Abrielle Jane Toliver and Sophia Marie Toliver; his mother-in-law Loretta Carol Buraker; Marvin Eugene Toliver Jr..
