With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fred Franklin Collier Sr. (Madison Heights, Virginia), born in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 15, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his former wife Brenda Neely Collier; his parents, Franklin Green Collier and Cleo Carter Collier; and his sister Naomi Collier Kirkland. He is survived by: his nephew Fred F. Collier, Jr. (Linda Matthews); his niece Debra Wyland (Wendell Wyland); his grandson Benjamin H. Wyland; his niece Karen Burks (David Burks); his nephew Curtis Kirkland Jr. (Heather Kirkland); and his friend Arlene Johnson. He is also survived by two children, one grandson.
