Lillian Fitzgerald Doss Obituary

Lillian May Fitzgerald Reynolds Doss, (90) of Madison Heights, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024. She was the wife of the late Lewis Raymond Reynolds and the late Tazwell Milton Doss.

Born July 24, 1933 in Bedford County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Corbett McKinley Fitzgerald and the late Dorothy May Fitzgerald. Lillian was predeceased by 14 brothers.

She is survived by daughters Joan Almond (Ricky), Wanda Pillow (Joel), and Cynthia Reynolds and her sister, Carrie Jane Fitzgerald Reynolds Hamlett. Also surviving are her son Lewis Ray Reynolds (Becky); eight grandchildren, Tammy, Michael, Erica, Joshua, Jeremy, Russell, Denise and Ronnie; six great grandchildren, Jarrett, Kristen, Tristian, Brysn, Ryder, and Jax and two great-great- grandchildren: Carter and Kendyl.

Lillian retired from the Central Virginia Training Center after 15 years in the food service department. She also worked in the Lynchburg City Schools' food service for ten years and at Randolph Macon College for two years in their food service department. Lillian enjoyed playing badminton, fishing, and cleaning her house, when she wasn't sunbathing. Lillian was a lifelong member of Sandy Bottom Church.

Per Lillian's request, there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lillian's memory can be made to Heartland Hospice: 7806 Timberlake Rd. Lynchburg, VA 24502.
