She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Owen Watson and Mildred Cyrus Watson; and her husband Richard William Tyree. She is survived by: her children, Richard Owen Tyree (Patricia) and Darlene Tyree-Allgood (Donnie); her grandchildren, Daniel Allgood, Christie Torrence, Crystal Holt and Tabitha Tyree; her great grandchild Ava Tyree; and her caregiver Deborah Grisetti.
She would meet with friends every Thursday at the local Food Lion to feed stray cats and would also visit the Amherst Humane society to donate food, blankets and supplies to the animals in need.
