He is survived by: his wife Dorris "Mema" Cheatham; and his sons, James (Janet), Paul (Tammy), Mark (Angie), David (Tracy) and Michael (Michele). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and nine (soon to be ten) great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Whitten Monelison Chapel (3966 S Amherst Hwy, Madison Heights, VA 24572). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cheatham Family Cemetery (385-523 State Rte 727, Monroe, VA 24574).
