He was predeceased by: his parents, James Byrne and Rose Byrne; his daughter Ann Teresa Linahan; his wife Phyllis Kernan Byrne; and his brother William Byrne.
He is survived by: his sons, James J. Byrne (late Laura), John J. Byrne (Emily), Christopher A. Byrne and Phillip A. Byrne (Michelle); his stepchildren, Michael V. Kubik (Carole) and Erika L. Glass (Eric); and his grandchildren, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Leah, Owen, Claire and PJ.
