He is survived by: his wife Kathy Carpenter Crigler; his children, Leslie DeBrosse (Mark), Nicholas (Liz) and Laura (Seth); his grandchildren, Cora, Alexandra, Hans, Edward and Alana; his sisters, Pamela Nelson (Jim) and Ann Fondren (Robert); and his father-in-law Bob Carpenter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
