It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Louise Smith of Madison, Virginia, born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 7, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert E. Cheers and Evelyn R. Hamler Cheers; her husband Robert V. Smith; her brother Jim Cheers; and her great grandchild Molly Ann Gries.
She is survived by: her children, David Smith (Sonya) of Connecticut, Carolyn Falcioni (Al) of North Carolina, Richard Smith (Kate) of Ohio, Brian Smith (Janet) of Pennsylvania, Steven Smith (Bonnie) of Vermont, Donald Smith (Mary) of Pennsylvania, Cheryl Bentz (Mike) of Pennsylvania and Susan Miller (Brad) of Virginia; and her brother Gene Cheers of Maryland. She is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren.
