It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Joanne Carpenter of Maidens, Virginia, who passed away on May 5, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Maxine Manion and James "Jim" Watkins; James Stephen Wakins of Newton, KS.. She is survived by: her husband Charles "Chuck" Carpenter; her children, James "Jamie" Douglas Carpenter, John Charles Carpenter and Terri Anne Carpenter; her grandchildren, Ashley, Charlie, Thomas, Justin and Amanda; her great grandchildren, Amelia and Maisie; her sister Jeri; her brother-in-law Dan; her nieces and nephews, J. D. and Francie; and her daughters-in-law, Laurie Glover and Christine Carpenter. She is also survived by her family, extended family and many friends.
