She was predeceased by : her husband Dennis "Dinky" McCarty; her parents, Raymond L. Cooke Sr. and Nettie Cooke Moxham; her siblings, Raymond L. Cooke Jr. and Shirley Stewart; and her son Dennis.

She is survived by : her daughter Cindy McCarty; her granddaughter Olivia Hicks; and her sister Leah Murray (Don). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and special family friends.
