With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Gilbert (Manassas, Virginia), who passed away on May 9, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Barbara farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Barbara is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Eugene Gilbert; her son Chris; her daughter-in-law Leah Gilbert; and her grandchildren, Molly and Carter.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center (10001 Nokesville Rd, Manassas, VA 20110). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 12:30 PM at the National Memorial Cemetery.
