She was predeceased by: her parents, Nilan Stanley and Lockie Stanley; her former husband Claude Blansett; and her grandson V. P. "Tubby" Jacobs. She is survived by: her husband Jonnie Short; her children, Peggy Woodson (William), Shirley Smith (Dan) and Christopher Blansett (Ashley); her grandchildren, Joshua Jacobs (Rachiel), Tucker Smith, Ashlie Woodson, Stiles and Landry Blansett; her great grandchildren, Alyssa and Kaylie Jacobs; and her siblings, Zinnia Blansett, James Stanley and Claudie Stanley. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
