He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford N. Almond and Addie Pearl Burch (Almond). He is survived by: his wife Rebecca; his children, Robin Newlon (Scott) of Everett, WA, JD Almond (Barbra) of Manassas, VA. and Kevin Almond (Judy) of Hardy; his grandchildren, Shanee, CJ, Trevor, Andrew, Courtney, Wyatt and Christian; his great grandchildren, Hartley, Oshun, Kanoa and Dawson; and his friends, Anna, Jim Kestner of Arizona and Mike Howell of Manassas, VA..

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to Mountain Mission School in Grundy, Va.,(MMS, org); and The American Cancer Society.
