He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy Margaret Jones (Pilkington-Wilson) of Raleigh, N. C. and W. D. Jones; and his sister Janice Sue Jones (Bennett). He is survived by: his wife Donna Wilbon Jones; his son Christopher Wayne Jones; his stepchildren, David Thomas (Christiane) and Christy Nicholson (Steve); his grandchildren, Wyatt, Oliver Jones, Chloe Jones and Haley Nicholson; his great grandchild Oden; and his brothers, Ronald Edwin Jones (Glenda) and Willard Douglas Jones (Kay).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
