He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Grayson Harris and Betty Muddiman Harris; his grandmother Gertrude Muddiman; his grandson Derick Daron Harris; and his son-in-law David Lee Chiang.

He is survived by: his wife Michelle Dugger Harris; his children, Jessica Mae Chiang, Charles David Harris, Amanda June Harris, Jacqueline Michelle Atwood, Jeremy Price Harris, Christopher Denis Harris and Mikalah Michelle Harris; and his grandfather James Beverly Muddiman.
