She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Scott and Helen Scott; her siblings, Raymond, Ralph, Donnie Scott, Virginia Willison, Carolyn Jordan and Anna Yacklin; her daughter Lisa Royal (Lesley); and her husband Buster Dotson.
She is survived by: her sister Kathy Metheny (Quentin) of West Virginia; her children, Adam Thompson (Roxann) of Virginia and Kim Thompson (Tad Albrite) of Virginia; her stepdaughter Stephanie Barron of Florida; her grandsons, Jonathon (Courtney), Mason, Jacob, Cole and Seth; her stepgrandson Jeremy (April); her great grandchild Aliana; and her stepgreat-grandsons, Caleb and Cameron.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Darlene's memory to the charity of your choice, honoring her generous spirit and lifelong desire to help others.
