With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Joseph Dempsey (Manassas, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 19, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Dempsey and Sally Dempsey (O'Furey); and his brother Neil. He is survived by: his wife Samsoon Lee; his stepsons, Eric Lee (Melinda) and James Lee (Shila); his grandsons, Samuel and Jonathon Lee; his siblings, Mary Cotter of Racine, WI, George (Maria) of Heath, TX, Timothy (Barbara) of Des Moines, IA, Anne Borland (Jim) of South Milwaukee, WI, Terry (Bonnie) of Racine, WI and Monsignor Patrick Dempsey of Springfield, VA; and his sister-in-law Barbel Dempsey of Mount Clemens, MI.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church (9300 Stonewall Rd, Manassas, VA 20110-2566).
