He was predeceased by: his former wives, Lora Roberts and Betty Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Fran Roberts; his sisters, Virginia "Jo Bill" Thacker (Noah) of Coeburn, Katie Sanders of Coeburn and Theresa Williams of Norton; and his brother-in-law Owen Franklin of Gate City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home Chapel (956 Park Ave NW, Norton, VA 24273). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Laurel Grove Cemetery (4805 Kentucky Ave SE, Norton, VA 24273).
