She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Lipscomb and Mary Trent; and her husband Franklin J. Jessel (Frank). She is survived by : her sisters, Raye Hatton and Joyce Manfield (Carl); her sons, Ellis Vaughan Jr. (Ken) and Stephen A. Vaughan; her grandchildren, Ellis Vaughan (Kenny), Shelia Renee Vaughan-Fogg (Derrick), Carrie Wood (Matt), Samuel Vaughan and Amanda McEwen (Chris); her great grandchildren, Kyle, Justin, Meredith, Cody, Morgan, Dylan, Landon, Aaron and Andrew; and her great great grandchildren, Mila, Holly, Bodie, Nora, Kingsley and Willow.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grace United Methodist Church (9750 Wellington Rd, Manassas, VA 20110). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at the Roanoke Presbyterian Church (444 Ridgeway Rd, Brookneal, VA 24528).
