It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Leo Benson (Manassas, Virginia), who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur J. Benson and Alice E. Benson (Ward). He is survived by: his wife Betty Ruth Benson (Napier); and his children, Linda Leah Rohrs (Texas), Timothy Lee Benson (Florida), Lisa Therese van Rensburg (Michigan), Mary Janette Alphs (Haymarket), Julie Lynn Williams (North Carolina) and Michael Lawrence Benson (Haymarket). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
